Review: Serafina and the Black Cloak
Serafina and the Black Cloak by Robert Beatty
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Serafina and the Black Cloak is a wonderful middle grade novel that combines fantasy, mystery and historical fiction. The story follows a young girl, Serafina, who lives in the basement of the famous Biltmore Manor as she discovers a secret about herself and unravels a mystery surrounding missing children from the estate. I was lucky enough to attend a book signing for this book at a local Barnes and Noble and hear the author speak as well as see the cover for the next book. Overall I would highly recommend Serafina and the Black cloak for children and children at heart, and I can't wait for the next book in the series and to see more from author Robert Beatty.
